“To rebuke the Lord” is a prayer

A)  The text of the speech by J.M.Bergoglio:

Praying is like talking with a friend: for this reason «prayer must be free, courageous, insistent», even at the cost of arriving “to rebuke” the Lord. … One should be able even «“to negotiate” with God». Just as «Moses did, by reminding God, with the arguments of the relationship with his people». In fact, «praying is also “negotiating” with God to obtain what we ask the Lord», but above all to know him better. The result is a prayer «as from friend to friend». Moreover, «the Bible says that Moses spoke to God face to face, as a friend». And «this is how prayer must be: free, insistent, with arguments». Even up to «“reproving” a little the Lord: but you promised me this and you didn’t do it». It’s like as when «we talk with a friend: open you heart to this prayer»” (morning meditation in the chapel of the DOMUS SANCTAE MARTHAE,  April 3 2014)

B) References to Scriptures:

In your prayers do not babble as the gentiles do, for they think that by using many words they will make themselves heard. Do not be like them; your Father knows what you need before you ask him. So you should pray like this: Our Father in heaven, may your name be held holy, your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as in heaven” (Mat 6:7-10)

C) Comment:

In no case, a prayer to God can be a reprimand to God. God is never wrong, and He accomplishes all things for Love of His children. If the Father that is in Heaven is perfect, how can He be wrong? And if He is not wrong, why should it be necessary to scold or to negotiate with Him?

Those who believe in God, pray as Jesus taught us in the “Our Father”, so that every child may do the Father’s Will. Every child asks the Father the “daily” bread to do His Will, with love and filial surrender, without negotiating and without rebuking the good and just Father.

Who has scolded, scolds and always will scold the Father is His enemy, satan, that has rebelled, rebels and will rebel to the Father, until he will be thrown into the fiery lake of fire.

This teaching of Bergoglio, on how to relate to God, totally contradicts the teachings of Jesus about how to relate to the Father; and it shows Bergoglio’s clear lack of knowledge about God the Father, for contradicting the teachings of the Son of God.
