The consecrated are called to share the condition of sin
A) The text of the speech by J.M.Bergoglio:
“The passage of the Letter to the Hebrews which we heard reminds us that in order to encounter us, Jesus did not hesitate to share our human condition: «Since therefore the children share in flesh and blood, he himself likewise partook of the same nature» (2:14). «Jesus did not save us “from the outside”, he did not remain outside of our drama, but wanted to share our life. Consecrated men and women are called to be a tangible and prophetic sign of this closeness of God, of this sharing in the condition of frailty, of sin and of the wounds of today’s mankind.
All forms of consecrated life, each according to its characteristics, are called to be in a permanent state of mission, sharing “the joys and the hopes, the griefs and the anxieties of the men of this age, especially those who are poor or in any way afflicted» (Gaudium et Spes, n. 1)” (Feast of the presentation of the Lord – XX world day of consecrated life – homily in the Vatican Basilica Tuesday, 2 February 2016)
B) References to Scriptures:
“For it is I, Yahweh, who am your God. You have been sanctified and have become holy because I am holy: do not defile yourselves with all these creatures that swarm on the ground” (Lev 11:44)
“Since in Jesus, the Son of God, we have the supreme high priest who has gone through to the highest heaven, we must hold firm to our profession of faith. For the high priest we have is not incapable of feeling our weaknesses with us, but has been put to the test in exactly the same way as ourselves, apart from sin” (Heb 4:14-15)
C) Comment:
Not only the consecrated men and women, but all people of good will that want to be true Christians are not called to “share with the condition of fragility, of sin“, but they are called to holiness.
Bergoglio blasphemes. The children of God are called to be holy, as holy is the Father who is in heaven. The children of God are called to go beyond their own fragility. The children of God are called to flee from sin.
Who wants to remain authentic Christian is called to flee from Bergoglio’s teachings that depart from the teaching of Christ.
Flee, sons of God, flee from sin and false prophets.
