“If at least he would have been a Kamikaze!”

A)  The text of the speech by J.M.Bergoglio:

To me, the sign that that there is no fraternity, whether in the presbyterate or in religious communities is when there is gossip. And allow me to use this expression: the terrorism of gossip, because one who gossips is a terrorist dropping a bomb, destroying from the outside — not even like a Kamikaze, but destroying others instead” (Meeting with the clergy, men and women religious and permanent deacons gathered in the Naples Cathedral Saturday, 21 march 2015)

B) References to Scriptures:

Do you not realise that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you and whom you received from God? You are not your own property, then; you have been bought at a price. So use your body for the glory of God” (1Co 6:19-20)

C) Comment:

Bergoglio, in his speech to the clergy, religious and permanent deacons of Naples, speaks of terrorism. A delicate speech, one might think, considering the dramatic context lived in these days because of the chronicle events of recent years in which the phenomenon of terrorism, on international scale, has grown sowing death and fear.

What does Bergoglio say? Does he report the teachings of Jesus about it? Does he speak of the non‑violence of the Man God? Does he actualize the teachings of Jesus, bringing them in today’s historical context? No. He brings the barbaric courage of suicide bombers as example.

Bergoglio teaches a doctrine opposite to that of Jesus. Bergoglio brings as an example the figure of the suicide bombers, who courageously commits suicide, taking their own lives and taking away the lives of others.

Bergoglio, on one side, attacks those who destroy others with words (this is the meaning of his speech) and on the other side, what does he do? A massacre.

His words harm and kill without mercy.

Bergoglio uses words in a devastating mode, bringing the example of those who cause death, not bravely but cowardly, not giving a chance to others to even defend themselves.

And not let it be said, to defend him, he was joking.

On certain issues no one can joke. But in all the more reason, who was appointed to the role of moral leadership in the international community, from which we expect many other words regarding this, cannot joke.
